I learned in my heart health seminar a few months ago that 23 almonds per day can decrease the likelihood of heart attacks. I've been eating them every day lately. I put a few in an Altoids tin and snack on them throughout the day. Of course sodium is still a concern since so many pre-packaged nuts are loaded with it. I buy the Emerald brand "natural" almonds. They're pretty tasty and satisfying once you get used to them without the salt.
